The deep meaning of the twelve months of the year. A time for everything ...

The Celts called it "ANAGANTIOS" (time to be at home). It's our month of January, one of those twelve vague "time units" to which we have reduced our calendar.

Ormai, osserviamo lo scorrere del tempo più che altro per sapere quanto manca al prossimo stipendio o per ragioni legate all'ordinaria gestione burocratica e materiale del tempo, questo qualcosa di effimero, che ci fa anche un po' paura, e di cui si è persa quasi completamente la "magicità".
Computer, telefonini e quant'altro ci dicono all'istante in quale momento dell'anno ci troviamo ma certamente non sono in grado di spiegarci il senso di ogni mese, di ogni giorno...
La bellezza del trascorrere dei mesi si è persa, in effetti, di pari passo con lo smarrimento più completo del senso magico della vita.

Marzo: CUTIOS (tempo dei venti)
Aprile: GIAMONIOS (tempo dei germogli)
May: SIMIVISONIOS (clear weather)
June: Equos time (of horses)
July: ELEMBIUOS (time of meetings to do justice)
August: EDRINOS (time of the issuance of judgments)
September : CANTLOS (Time songs)
October: Samonios (sowing time)
November: DUMANNIOS (time of darkness deeper)
December: RIUROS (cold weather)
